Service Description
Come along & bring a mate and/or your partner to this fun and meaningful class. This is a NON-PROFIT offering and all KOHA goes to Orange Sky, an organisation that provides showers, washing and more to people that are going through a hard time. Christmas is a time to share love, food and comfort. Let's give some of what we have in abundance to those who are lonely and are going through a hard time. This 75 minute class includes a mindfulness practice, 2 rounds of Pranayama (breath-work) and a gentle asana practice (movement). This will be a beginners friendly class. Mats & props are available but limited. Please bring your own if you have :-) Please note that you can't use your 10-class pass or other plan for this event. Please pay your Koha with cash or via bank transfer BEFORE class begins. There will be an info sheet with bank details. Please use your name as a reference. Not sure how much to give? Well, I have no expectations on the amount you give. Please give what you feel comfortable with. Here are some examples to give perspective: - a regular yoga class costs between $20 - $30 - a wash at the laundromat costs between $4 - $10 - a shower in a public space costs between $4 - $6 per 5 minutes - a bed in a shared hostel room starts from $25 (in the city) Feel free to message me if you have any questions or would like to get the bank details beforehand.

We offer modifications and options for beginners and certain injuries but it is your choice and responsibility to listen to your body and to find your edge for your own unique personal needs. Props such as blocks, blankets, bolsters and straps are a great tool to help you get comfortable in shapes and to get the full benefit of an asana (yoga posture) and we encourage everyone to use props. Please take medical advice from a professional before attending classes, workshops and events with Mandala Yoga NZ and our friends if you have any injuries (old or new), are pregnant or if you are experiencing a mental health challenge. With participating in our classes and workshops you agree to not make us, Mandala Yoga NZ and our facilitators, responsible for the unlikely event of injuries occurred during a Yoga class or workshop with us.
